A photograph, once out, is out forever.
Most matrimonial photo leaks are not hacks. They are ordinary members saving an image and forwarding it. No platform can retrieve it afterwards, so the only real protection is to be careful about who ever gets to see it.
Looking at a prospective spouse is permitted and encouraged in the deen. Broadcasting a photograph to thousands of strangers is a different thing entirely, and that is the thing we do not do.
Six steps, and you control four of them.
You upload it
It goes to storage no other member can address. It is not in your profile record and it is not served by a guessable URL.
A human reviews it
A moderator on your own gender's desk checks it. Nobody on the other desk can open it at any point.
It sits hidden
Default for sisters is hidden, permanently, until you personally release it. There is no setting that quietly opts you in.
You release it, to one person
Not to a tier, not to everyone verified. To a named person, after they have shown genuine interest.
They see it watermarked
Rendered on the fly with their own member ID across it. They cannot fetch a clean copy because a clean copy is never served.
You withdraw it
One tap. Access ends immediately and they are told it was withdrawn rather than left guessing.
Every copy points back at whoever saw it.
If a screenshot turns up in a WhatsApp group, the member ID printed across it tells us exactly who to remove.

Every photograph carries the member ID of the person looking at it. A screenshot that ends up in a WhatsApp group points straight back at whoever took it, and we act on that.
Five things your photograph is never used for.
Search is photoless for everyone. There is no browse-by-photo surface anywhere in the product.
The field is off by default and carries a warning explaining that a PDF, once forwarded, cannot be withdrawn.
Every face on this site is an illustration. We will never use a member's photograph in marketing, with or without permission.
Not now, not on acquisition. This is a contractual commitment, not a policy we can quietly amend.
There is no unwatermarked render path. Right-click, dev tools, or the network tab all give the same watermarked image.
What is visible at each stage.
A stranger who found your profile in search
This is all a stranger ever sees. No photograph, no full name, no number.
